Just went back to re-visit this video series. Do you think you would ever do a video ranking the custom campaigns you've played? I'm looking to get a couple printed and would value your opinion!

I played Gloria for 2 scenarios in expert Innsmouth and then swapped her out, because it was ridiculous. We were not playing Arkham, we were playing a walking simulator. I would have liked to see the wilson combat deck :) Same about parallell Skids, because ours were boring as hell and he is benched now.

When it comes to Dexter, I think fun one is having playing him was beautifully captured in one scene in Django Unchained. Scene where character played by Christopher Waltz pulls gun out of nowhere and shoots down sheriff. 😂

I had EH and then also bought TCG for a different and tigher experience. So this type of campaign is not necessary for me. I rather play my EH instead.

13 cards of Sefina’s 33(+5) is 34% of her deck. 10 cards of an ordinary investigator’s 30(+2) is 31% of their deck. And an ordinary investigator initially only gets to see 5 and may erringly mulligan into a weaker hand by accident. And, she comes with 3 Studious. I can understand how Sefina’s mulligan may feel bad when you’re used to swapping out the bad cards in your hand, but I’m struggling to follow how it’s actually worse.

I've played Luke and Diana. I would play both again. Diana was the first full deck build I did and fell in love with the willpower does everything mechanic of mystics. Gate Box goes brrr but I equated it to Doctor Who's TARDIS rather than smoking haha.

Yeah I feel like even having an ally that just reads “when you commit an inflexible skill to a test you get +1 to each skill until end of test” would be nice. Also was just a way to consider maybe providing some very strong utility in the form of skills while also limiting them. Thought of double or nothing actually… wonder how it would feel as an inflexible skill card.

I know it hardly matters now but I don’t think Jim could’ve passed Daniel over because of the anxiety in his hand. Jim seemed to be fine at the end tho and I’m sure u could’ve spared two of his actions to clear it. Stressful game!!!😅

Describing the Longest Night as overwhelming in all the right ways is spot on. The survival horror is so real, but the enemies and the tools they provide to defeat them are both tuned just right to enable victory if you strategize well.

I've played all the campaigns several times, and I think the best gauge of campaign quality is how long I feel like I need to take a break from that campaign after beating it. I love Edge of the Earth (partially because I love At the Mountains of Madness so much, plus the survival horror theme feels so real in that campaign with everyone dropping dead all around you), but it is so exhausting to play that after beating it, I am ready to be done with it for a WHILE. I ended up playing Hemlock Vale four times in a row after I bought it, and for reference, I had never played any campaign back-to-back like that before. I do think Carcosa is better, but I felt compelled to replay this one the most because I was so curious about the NPC questlines and the alternate ways the scenarios play out as a function of day and NPC relationships. I too would like to see another more traditional eight-scenario campaign in the future, but I also would love to see another one similar to Hemlock Vale.

I feel like Tommy would get along with Judith, both of them having questionable relationships with their guns.

Played this for the first time last night and won in the last possible round. It was a nailbiter but we loved it actually. I am a sucker for the Pandemic system, though, so that made it a lot more enjoyable. And we also didn't draw a single auto-fail the entire scenario, so that definitely helped, too.

Pendant of the Queen is my go to to deal with Nahab. We usually Play let God in Flamer Mark and Tony. We do not regret it, but its more for the miniquest and greed fun aspect we play it. Heroic Rescue is playable in Zoey and Daniela, and can be a highlight. Not sure if the double works, as there is only one card of Esseence About Empty Vessel is amazing in Flamer Mark Delilah is just so much better since Dirty Fighting came Short Supply also from Edge broke Scavenging

Can't mention Prepared without Stick. Without it I will never play Prepared

I don't sleeve a single card in this game. It's totally unnecessary when both player deck and encounter deck is like 30-40 cards. It goes fast to just pile shuffle these amount of cards. That will make no tear.

Unearth the Ancients(2) is an absolutely bonkers card that I put into every seeker deck if possible. It really shines in Mont. Jack especially, as he (practically) cannot use the "good" seeker economy cards of lvl 1. I usually use this card not as a starting economy, but as a mid-game draw boost. With enough setup, succeeding a investigation test of shroud 2~4 is easy, so I usually target Segment of Onyx and Eon Chart.(notably, both are relics) Shroud modification is a bonus. Yes, you can play Segment of Onyx fast, but holding onto them and playing via Unearth the Ancients is a free draw and resources so.. why not? Even if the seeker asset you target is not a relic, it still allows playing assets without losing any tempo(I'm sure Justin would love this part!). Of course, you can use this as a starting economy card if enough skill cards are drawn, like Survey the Area for Mont. Jack.

One of the new players we taught how to play AHLCG in our local game store commented that Dr. Milan looks like how an average discord mod would look like... have been calling our good ol' Seeker ally that since then. 😅
